Greenberg, Irving

(b. 1933)
   American scholar. Born in New York, he studied at Bais Yosef Yeshivah and was influenced by Joseph Soloveichik. As an Orthodox Jew, he wrestled with the religions implica-tions of the Holocaust as well as the meaningfulness of the halakhah in modern Jewish life.
